Serial CA9G046 - Finished December '09. Commissioned custom Strat - Translucent Surf Green on Southern Ash. Custom piezo Wilkinson trem / mag stereo / MIDI output.

SPECIFICATIONS:

BODY: Hand made at Onyx Forge - StratŽ shape, Southern Ash; belly and arm contours; sculpted heel with recessed neck screw ferrules; the Wilkinson V100N trem was custom fitted with Graphtech Ghost saddles with individual leads for hexaphonic output; barrel style straplocks, rear loaded battery box; translucent Surf Green under gloss nitrocellulose lacquer; chrome hardware; combo rear / front loaded controls, chrome knobs with Abalone tops; white Pearl/W/B pickguard, trem and control covers; all screws polished 18-8 stainless steel.

NECK: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Ebony fretboard with Abalone fret / side dots on Flame Maple; 13 degree tilt 6/side vintage headstock, light Honey under satin nitrocellulose lacquer, gloss nitro on headstock face; dual carbon fiber reinforcing rods; double acting truss rod; Ebony truss rod cover under satin nitro; Paua Abalone Onyx Forge logo; 12" radius fretboard; 25.5" scale; 22 med. jumbo polished stainless steel frets; standard "C" profile with rolled edges; recessed & filled fret slot ends; Grover locking 18:1 tuning machines; heavy duty flanged zinc alloy threaded inserts for strength and outstanding sustain; 1 11/16" nut width; custom laminated graphite & brass alloy 260 nut.

ELECTRONICS: Loaded with both single coils and Graphtech Ghost piezo saddles for magnetic / piezo and MIDI outputs.

MAGNETICS: A Seymour Duncan bridge pickup, combined with high output Strat single coils switched through a 5-way selector, master volume and master tone.

PIEZO: Graphtech Ghost saddles in the Wilkinson V100N trem are routed through a Graphtech Acoustiphonic / Hexaphonic preamp combo. Piezo volume is located where the 2nd tone knob is on a standard Strat. The piezo volume is a push / push switch that controls the mid / dark tone switching in the piezo mode. A 3 way mini switch on the pickguard switches magnetic and piezo output to piezo only, mag only, or combined. Output of both mag and piezo signals can be through a 1/4" jack in mono or stereo, as well as routed out the 13 pin MIDI jack in the mono mode. The guitar was supplied with an LR Baggs 'Y' cable for stereo to dual mono outputs separating the piezo and magnetic signals.

MIDI: The MIDI controls are behind the pickguard and are rear loaded. The MIDI signal is controlled via its own dedicated volume pot. The 3-way mini in front of the volume knob switches between MIDI, the output determined by the piezo / mag 3 way, or both. The 3-way in front of that is a momentary switch that increments / decrements the current MIDI patch from the guitar.
