BODY: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Carvetop VIP - Bookmatched "Best" quality Quilted Maple top on a one piece Honduran Mahogany backing blank. Translucent "Pool Blue" face; undyed binding stripe; "Ebonyburst" back under gloss nitrocellulose lacquer; custom Macassar Ebony pickup rings; locking post Tune O Matic bridge; all screws polished 18-8 stainless steel; Dunlop Straploks.

NECK: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Macassar Ebony fretboard with Paua Abalone diamond inlays on Honduran Mahogany neck shot to match the body; 12" radius fretboard; 25.5" scale; "C" profile with rolled edges; Onyx Forge "WB" 6 / side headstock; stainless steel medium jumbo frets; Paua Abalone side dots; 18:1 ratio Grover locking tuning machines; "Pool Blue" headstock face and truss rod cover to match body; zinc alloy threaded inserts for strength and outstanding sustain; Paua Abalone Onyx Forge logo on headstock; undyed headstock binding stripe; double action truss rod; 1 11/16" nut width; custom laminated Graphtech & brass alloy nut.

ELECTRONICS:

  • BRIDGE PICKUP - This guitar is loaded with a very unique pickup in the bridge. It's a Gemini "Cerberus" multi-mode humbucker that is tapped 6 ways for unique sounds. It is switched via a dedicated 6-way rotary that feeds a balance / blend pot for mixing the output of the 2 pickups
  • NECK PICKUP - A Stewart MacDonald Golden Age humbucker that is split by pulling the volume knob
  • A 2-way kill switch was requested by the owner so that that output is killed in the up position
  • WIRING - All interior wiring channels, cavities and the back of the control plate are coated with grounded conducting paint to eliminate unwanted RF interference. Vintage style cloth wire is used for an unbroken wire core through 3 or more lugs
