BODY: Hand made at Onyx Forge - One piece Honduran Mahogany back with a AAAA Quilted Maple carve top; belly contour; translucent Rootbeerburst under gloss nitrocellulose lacquer; custom Quilted Maple pickup trim rings; through body stringing; recessed vintage style string ferrules; L.R. Baggs piezo "X Bridge"; all screws polished 18-8 stainless steel; Tigerwood knobs; Dunlop Straplocks.

NECK: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Flame Maple fretboard on Goncalo Alves neck; 12" radius fretboard; 25.5" scale; "C" profile with rolled edges; Onyx Forge 6 / side vintage headstock; stainless steel medium jumbo frets; .25" round Paua Abalone fret markers with black Mother of Pearl at 12th fret; black Mother of Pearl side dots; 18:1 ratio Grover locking tuning machines; "Honey" fretboard with natural neck; zinc alloy threaded inserts for strength and outstanding sustain; white Mother of Pearl Onyx Forge logo on headstock; double action truss rod; 1 11/16" nut width; custom laminated Ox bone & brass alloy nut.

ELECTRONICS: Seymour's Stacked P90's teamed with an L. R. Baggs piezo X Bridge and Control X onboard preamp.

  • MAGNETICS - The P90's are switched via a balance / blend pot. Much more flexible than the old 3 way. Master volume and tone push / pull pots tap each of the P90's when pulled.
  • CONTROL X / PIEZO BRIDGE - A 3-way toggle switch allows 3 modes; all magnetics, all piezo, or mixed. The Control X pot blends the output of the mags and piezo bridge. A push / push switch on the front of the guitar switches between stereo or mono mode. In stereo mode, a "Y" cable allows mag / piezo input to 2 different channels or amps. A standard mono cord can also be used.
  • WIRING - All interior wiring channels, cavities and the back of the control plate are coated with grounded conducting paint to eliminate unwanted RF interference. Vintage style cloth wire is used to allow unbroken wire core through 3 or more lugs.

    Outstanding tonal flexibility, sustain and playability. Not bad looking either.
