This baritone was designed in collaboration with Tom to be played tuned to C-C. Strung with
.013" - .062" baritone strings, this guitar has a very wide tonal range and lots of
bottom end - Finished Feb. '07

BODY: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Single piece Tiger Maple; Cobalt-Purpleburst aniline
dye under gloss nitrocellulose lacquer; sculpted heel; custom Macassar Ebony pickup rings
under satin nitro; recessed Dunlop Straplocks; screws are polished 18-8 stainless steel.
NECK: Hand made at Onyx Forge - bolt neck; Onyx Forge 3 /side headstock; stainless
steel medium jumbo frets; Macassar Ebony fretboard and customer designed
band logo "While Heaven Wept"
in Paua Abalone centered on the 12th fret;
Cobalt-Purpleburst to match body under satin nitrocellulose lacquer (except for front
of headstock, which is gloss); 28.0" scale; "C" profile; rolled edges; zinc
alloy threaded inserts for strength and outstanding sustain;
Paua Abalone side marker dots; Paua Abalone Onyx Forge logo on
headstock; Grover locking machines; double action truss rod; 1 11/16" nut width;
custom laminated Graphtech & brass alloy nut; Macassar Ebony truss rod cover under
satin nitro; all 18-8 polished stainless steel screws.
ELECTRONICS: Loaded with both magnetic and piezo pickups with a 3-way mini selector
that isolates or mixes each output in stereo or mono.
OTHER STUFF: Custom Unitec "Elite" ATA rated case made to fit this instrument,
as well as a stereo to split mono cord. When in the stereo mode, piezo and mags
will be fed into separate channels or amps.
