Serial CA5K008 - A ONE PIECE GUITAR finished March '06. I mentioned to one
of my customers that I had a cache of 1.75" thick by 12.5" wide Flame Maple stock,
which I originally intended to use for one piece bodies. He asked me if there was a
piece large enough to make an entire Bullet style guitar from. I did have one
with about 1/4" to spare. The only "foreign" piece of wood on the guitar
is the Birdseye Maple fretboard. See specs below pics.

BODY: Hand made at Onyx Forge - Integrated with neck and made from a single piece of
Flame Maple; custom Amber aniline dye under nitrocellulose
lacquer; hard tail Strat style bridge; through body stringing with recessed string ferrules;
recessed Electrosocket jack cup; belly and arm contours; Dunlop Straploks; rear
loaded controls.
NECK: One piece integrated with body - Curly Maple with Birdseye Maple fretboard;
thin "C" profile; 24.562" scale; custom Amber dye under nitrocellulose
lacquer; 22 med. jumbo polished stainless steel frets;
Paua Abalone Onyx Forge logo; Grover locking tuning machines; double acting
truss rod adjustable from pickup pocket; 1 11/16" nut width at the custom bone
/ brass alloy nut.
ELECTRONICS: Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates in the neck, and Cool Rails at the bridge.
Output from both pickups is routed through a balance / blend pot, with master volume
and tone controls. Both the volume and tone pots are push pulls that split a dedicated
pickup when pulled.
GENERAL: Now that I've set it up and played it, I can tell you it is a
tone and sustain monster, and the slightly smaller "Bullet" is about the same weight
as a standard design Ash "T". Very well balanced.
