SERIAL CA4I003 - Custom Koa baritone guitar commissioned Sept. '04.
A repeat customer wanted a baritone guitar with a body made of an exotic wood,
have a natural look, and be light. He also had other instruments with satin necks,
and liked the way they felt. He asked for a birdseye on birdseye neck dyed light
amber with satin nitro on the back. After some discussion, we decided on a body
shape loosely based on the old Fender Musiclander® loaded with Seymour Duncan
Cool Rails pickups. Other than that, he gave me a lot of latitude on the overall
configuration.
